I enjoy working with older adults the fact that they have great wisdom and life experiences which are fascinating to explore while being respectful of their life experiences. Why do you think online therapy is effective for seniors? I believe online therapy is effective because it is more accessible as far as traveling in addition to feel safe by having the session from the comfort of their home.

How do you approach therapy sessions? I will be using motivational interviewing, DBT, CBT as well as person center therapy. What is your advice to someone who is starting therapy for the first time?

I will tell them not to feel afraid or intimidated and that after a few sessions there is a sense of confidence and well-being that will help them to accomplish their goals.
