Learn more about Brooke

As a senior myself I enjoy being able to relate to my senior clients due to the fact that we have experienced many of the same ups and downs of life, as well as history making moments, technology advancement and changes in our views throughout the years. Even though we are all different and experience life in our own way and may see things differently due to cultural or economic differences, we still have the same basic wants such as to be happy and productive.

Advancements in technology has made online counseling available for those that may not be able to physically get to therapy, or hard to get to therapy due to work hours or family commitments, or just simply due to not being sure if they are comfortable sitting with someone and discussing their most emotional thoughts and feelings in person. I love that it gives more access to people to get the help that they need to move forward during the difficult times and to accomplish their goals that can change the way they live life.

My first internships and counseling jobs gave me experience in working with clients with substance abuse and Child Protective Services issues. It was great seeing clients get clean from their addictions and get their children back. I spent some time working for a private practice group where I got to experience counseling for a multitude of different diagnosis for all types of cultures, ages, and couples. Even though it was rewarding work I had the opportunity to do Military Family Life counseling at a base in California and continued that work with my move to Nevada. I have been doing this for 7 years and love being able to serve the brave families that commit to the military life. Now I am ready to embrace my new totally online clientele.

Even though our first meeting has to cover a lot of ground with an initial assessment, I always look forward to getting to know my clients and what brings them to therapy. I hope to create a feeling of being genuine, caring and safe so that each client can express their thoughts and feelings and know they are being listened to. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution Focused therapy just to name a few and I am willing to change modalities to ensure you are getting the therapy that works for you.
