Learn more about Catherine

It is my privilege to witness the resilience and strength that older adults exhibit as they face challenges and find deep meaning amidst change and transition. I learn what is most important in life when I slow down and listen. I have deep gratitude for each client who shares a part of their journey with me.

Online therapy provides a platform that reduces barriers and brings services directly to seniors in the comfort of their own home. Making human connections via online therapy increases a sense of connection and reduces isolation and loneliness.

I have experience working in hospital settings, geriatric primary care, long-term care and outpatient mental health. I strongly believe that our physical health is greatly impacted by the context of our environment and what has happened in our lives. Learning tools to provide compassion to ourselves (our bodies, our minds, our emotions) as we age can reduce the intensity of physical symptoms and optimize our well-being.

My approach to therapy is client-centered and strengths based. I have a highly individualized approach and aim to meet each client where they are. I have training in Cognitive Behavior Therapy CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Therapy (AEDP-level one) and am informed in Internal Family Systems (IFS). The overarching approach is practicing loving kindness and compassion for all aspects of your experience.
