Working with seniors is so rewarding. They have so much life experience and wisdom to share. I love providing “new information” about mental health and seeing my patients excited about the information they are learning and actively practicing and seeing results.

I think online psychotherapy is great for adults, regardless of age. It takes the stress out of finding and getting to the clinician’s office on time. It is easier to schedule a time for treatment that works for the patient and it takes less time due to no driving time. As a clinician, I am able to provide the same excellent service I would in an office setting and for this reason, I have become solely remote with my own private practice.

I have worked with every age in almost every psychiatric setting. In fact, I started out as a child psychologist, working predominantly with children, adolescents and their families. As time went on, in addition to working with the kids, I started to work more and more with the parents, who had their own traumas which was getting in the way of being able to parent in a healthy balanced way. I have spent a lot of time conducting psychological assessments for the courts which has helped how I conceptualize cases and provide treatment. Throughout the years, I have worked in many settings and have worked with most mental health conditions but seemed to always end up with trauma at the root of the issues and ultimately this is the lane I have stayed in. Doing trauma work has been so rewarding, as trauma plays a role in most mental health conditions. I love to educate about trauma, as many patients don’t realize that they actually have trauma. I love to see my patients heal and grow as human beings

I have been heavily trained in CBT methodologies and tend to view the patient from a trauma perspective. I am considered a trauma expert. I have been working with trauma for 20+ years. I use a number of different approaches including but not limited to CBT and EMDR. I am fairly eclectic and use different approaches that best match the patient. I work alongside my patients to help them heal and grow.
