I enjoy listening to their stories of their childhood and young adult life. I enjoy helping them identify ways to improve their mental health and to be happier in life.

I think online for seniors is effective as most seniors I have worked with have said they enjoy our talks each week and it helps them to talk to someone other than family because they often don’t want to worry their families or think they are busy.

I grew up on a all senior but me neighborhood and spent a lot of time watching pets, mowing grass, or just visiting with my senior neighbors. I have also worked with seniors as a Nursing Assistant, Activity Director, and Social Worker in nursing homes and assisted living facilities. I have also been a Board Member working with a non-profit serving seniors.

As a teenager, my mom had a brain tumor and she was in a critical care hospital and I would often be in the waiting room talking to other families who were scared about their loved one. I also spent a lot of time with my neighbor who was dealing with her grandson who lived her- drug addiction.
