I believe that we start life out with an empty toolbox that gets filled up along life’s journey. I enjoy going through their toolboxes with them and watching them discover all the valuable tools they have picked up along the way. Seniors have so much valuable experience and knowledge to share. Although I am on the helping side, you tend to walk away with a little bit of wisdom yourself.

Well, I believe that we recently discovered that online therapy became a viable and effective option when meeting in person was no longer a safe option. I found that the convenience of being able to receive therapeutic services from the comforts of your own home allowed for more consistent sessions with clients that often were faced with transportation or mobility limitations. At my previous agency this change brought forth an increase in demand for sessions. This response proved that online therapy is just as effective as in person sessions and often times was more desired by the client.

Most of my experience involves working with clients experiencing life transitions, health problems, and trauma. I have 10+ years of experience working with women, children & families in addition to our homeless population. My most recent role was dedicated to working with victims of violent crimes and sexual assault.

I usually use a combination of various therapeutic techniques which include, Solution Focus, Trauma Focus, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, CBT, and DBT to name a few. As we meet and build rapport, we will determine the most suitable approaches for you. Together we will collaborate and identify your needs and establish your desired goals for counseling. All at a pace set by you.
