Working with older people has been my passion since graduate school years. Such work is rewarding and inspiring, as it allows me to continue learning and improving not only as a clinician but as a person, while simultaneously being able to share my knowledge and understanding of the human psyche. I believe, that while we gain experience and insight as we age, we also undoubtedly endure hardships – grief, loneliness, life-transitions, and personal trauma. Sharing these experiences is part of our nature and of key importance in improving daily life.

Current research has shown, that online therapy can and often is just as effective as in-person therapy. Some individuals prefer online therapy as it reduces travel time and expenses, allows attending therapy in the comfort of their home or another safe space, and may reduce anxiety. The recent pandemic has normalized online services and improved care accessibility. We are offering both, video and telephone appointments.

My experience includes working at community mental health clinics, hospitals, and hotlines. I also have worked closely with the court system and forensic clientele. I have spent a year working at an emergency facility.

I take an authentic and open-minded approach to therapy. I am eager to learn about my clients’ expectations, past experiences, and treatment goals, prior to working together on formulating a treatment plan. I recognize that the therapeutic process is dynamic and unique to each individual and respect my clients’ varying needs and comfort levels with online treatment. I am trained in CBT, DBT, and psychodynamic therapy, among other modalities.
