There is no playbook that prepares us for all the intellectual, physical, and emotional experiences we will have while navigating the challenges of aging in the world today. Yet, this next bit is refreshing. According to psychological knowledge, elders may accomplish the developmental task of increasing ownership over one’s behavior better than younger persons. Elders’ strivings may be more linked with intrinsic values (such as integrity, intimacy, and contribution), and less with superficial or materialistic issues. That’s an admirable striving I can get behind. No matter what, we slow down with age and we will continue to face trials. However, it appears that, like very fine wine, many continue to “get better” as they get older.

If you think tele communication with your doctor will benefit you, then it will. And two agreeing minds can produce a substantial thing.

It can be helpful to consider a frame of 8 visits, wherein good work may be accomplished.

I think people make the best choices for themselves when transparent options are available to them. Your doctor choice matters because unlike a general medical visit, a stint of treatment, by nature, is a co-labor for you and your doctor toward a goal.
