I enjoy assisting people in adjusting to life transitions and unexpected challenges. I enjoy the wisdom and and life experiences older clients bring, as these can be used to bolster resilience and add meaning to then therapeutic process.
I think online visits are easier for older adults since they do not need to travel to a clinic and can experience the sessions in the privacy and comfort of their homes.
The therapy sessions are a collaborative, conversational space focused on building connection, understanding, and a strong foundation for meaningful work. Clients are warmly welcomed into a nonjudgmental environment where they can share what brings them to therapy, their hopes for change, and past challenges.
Therapy is a space for clients to be their true selves and a place to work toward meaningful and lasting change in their life. Starting can be the hardest part but my hope is that clients fully immerse themselves in the process and let the therapist know exactly how they are experiencing the process to ensure that they get the most from therapy.
