Betty Friedan said, “Aging is not ‘lost youth’ but a new stage of opportunity and strength.” I believe our experiences provide enrichment, growth, and a lens to which our perspective on life develops. Seniors have gathered years of knowledge and wisdom that younger generations have yet to be exposed. This foundation provides a unique opportunity to build upon the past to brighten the future. Being a part of someone’s journey is not only an honor but one of great personal joy.

Online therapy is an opportunity to obtain care from the comfort of your own home. Being in your own environment provides a level of comfortability that allows individuals to be vulnerable and receptive to new information. In addition, home self-care sessions minimize or even eliminate barriers to seeking treatment. It is a safe and confidential alternative to traditional therapy.

I received a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Grand Valley State University in 1999. I later went on to obtain a Master of Social Work degree from University of Michigan Ann Arbor and a Master of Science of Administration from Central Michigan University. I am a professional with 25 years of experience in the non-profit, healthcare, and education sectors. I am adept at assessing needs, generating options, and implementing solutions in collaboration with clients. I am credentialed with the Academy of Certified Social Workers, hold a Master’s Social Worker Clinical License in the State of Michigan, and have been a member of the National Association of Social Workers for over a decade. I was the honored recipient of Memorial Healthcare’s 2022 President’s Award for providing crisis counseling to healthcare employees during the pandemic.

I have a passion for treating individuals diagnosed with depression and anxiety utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy modalities. I also connect individuals to community resources, education and support programs.
