Since graduating from the social work program in 2019, I have been working in various fields of social work, dedicated to supporting adults and older adults struggling with various life circumstances.. I have vast experience working with end of life care and domestic violence. I am licensed in Colorado, Delaware, Rhode Island and Wyoming and have obtained Advanced Palliative and Hospice Social Worker certification. For the past year, I was a therapist at Enjoy Your Life Counseling in Colorado Springs, CO. My current role as a therapist on TotalLife.com enables me to focus on my passion to support older adults and that’s important to me because older adults often feel unseen, unheard and undervalued and they deserve to be recognized for their lives, stories and impact.
About I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 3 years experience focusing on older adults. My experience also includes working with many demographics including individuals experiencing homelessness to individuals nearing end of life on hospice. In my sessions, I focus on using evidence-based techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy in order to help clients improve their thinking patterns, behaviors and to assist clients in discerning future goals. I often work with clients to address anxiety, depression, grief and life transitions. My counseling style is empowering, affirming, and questioning. Many of my clients have said ”I feel so much better after working with you.” and “you’ve really helped me”. I take the time to understand your story, challenges and goals. For me, it’s an honor to walk alongside our clients and show them they’re not alone. In my spare time, I like to go on hikes and read. My favorite quote is “ connection as the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued; when they can give and receive without judgment; and when they derive sustenance and strength from the relationship.” by Dr. Brene Brown because it speaks to the impact those around us have in helping us live the best versions of ourselves.
