What I enjoy most about working with older adults is the opportunity to provide support during deeply meaningful stages of their lives. I find it incredibly fulfilling to help older adults process and navigate major transitions. I appreciate being able to create a supportive space where they can feel truly heard and respected. Helping older adults maintain their dignity, mental wellness, and overall quality of life during significant and transformative times is not just meaningful work—it’s an honor.

Online therapy helps older adults by making support more accessible and comfortable. It removes travel barriers and allows them to get care from home, which can feel more private and less stressful. With a little tech support and a caring approach, older adults can build strong connections with their therapist and get the support they need.

I approach therapy sessions by creating a safe, respectful space where clients can feel valued and heard. I protect confidentiality and, honoring autonomy in each session. I am mindful of age-related challenges. I focus on building trust and supporting individual goals with compassion and professionalism.

My advice is to take it one step at a time and practice self-care. Therapy is a new experience for many people. You don’t need to have everything figured out. Just be your authentic self, open and honest. Find your support system and trust the process.
