Learn more about Sandi

This is a population that has had many life experiences and are in a time of transition. They have resilience and coping skills/strengths that they may not be aware of and helping them to recognize and use them makes for a satisfactory therapeutic relationship. This is a time of life for continued growth.

It allows a person to receive services in a setting where they feel comfortable. Meeting a therapist and participating in therapy can be a situation that makes one anxious/nervous or even scared and being in your own setting can help reduce these feelings. Online therapy is not for everyone but it has been shown by research to be just as effective for many people. It can also help with being consistent to sessions as the person does not have to travel so an appointment only takes up that scheduled time.

I started providing therapy services in 1993 and have been in varied settings. The earlier part of my career was with youth. I worked in nonprofit settings and worked my way up to Outpatient Director as well as the back up to the Clinical Director. I transitioned out of the nonprofit setting and have been working in the private practice setting since August of 2019. I have experience in many different areas from addictions, to in home counseling, to partial care for youth as well as adults, and outpatient. I have been privileged to provide services in many different settings as well as having been in an administrative position for 14 years. I truly prefer providing direct service and this is why I am now doing private practice.

Therapy is a very individualized process and you need someone who will listen and respond to your needs. Everyone has strengths to work with and I will help you recognize your strengths and how to use them to help you move forward. I have been in the field for over 31 years and have worked with children as well as older adults and all ages in between. I have experience in many different areas of counseling which include depression, anxiety, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, anger management, grief and more. I welcome the chance to work with you to help make change in your life.
