I enjoy working with seniors as I have always been very intrigued by seniors lives. Seniors carry wisdom through life experiences and often times have a lot to share with the world around us.

I think online therapy is effective for seniors because it is more accessible. Often times seniors do not have reliable access to transportation. Online therapy brings the resources seniors often need to the comfort of their own home.

I have continued in the medical field and work directly with individuals aged 65 and older. I address various issues such as life transitions, family dynamics, anxiety, depression, spousal loss, chronic pain, and terminal illnesses. Specializing in aging and the geriatric population, I find fulfillment in enriching the lives of others within my community. As an advocate for effective coping and personal fulfillment, I strive to make knowledge and resources readily accessible to those I serve in my purpose.

My grandmother, and mother inspired me to be a therapist. Growing up I spent a lot of time with my grandma. She was always finding joy in assisting others in her community in various ways. Giving back through outreach, and supplying those in need with a nurturing, and kind atmosphere. A true matriarch and lover of her community.

I have worked directly with seniors for major hospice organizations. During the pandemic I started working in hospice as a medical social worker. Often times seniors felt isolated or lonely due to restrictions placed on direct face to face contact. Working through an online platform or through the phone helped seniors to feel more engaged during the pandemic.

I create a non-judgmental safe space for my clients to develop a keen sense of self-awareness and personal fulfillment. I like to meet my clients where they are and assist in creating healthy holistic coping mechanisms to enrich their daily lives. I use narrative based approaches such as externalizing ones issues and guiding one through a various transitional periods in their lives. Assisting in cultivating grounded, and conscious self expression.

In my own life I am an avid historian. I enjoy learning about different foods, cultures, and practices. In my free time you can find me cooking new recipes or outdoors hiking or kayaking in nature. I am a painter and have enjoyed having my art on display in venues dedicated to my creative expression.
