I have a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. I also received my Master of Social Work at Loyola University Chicago. I have been working in mental health to some capacity since 2014 and have been practicing clinically since 2017. I have worked with kids, families, groups, and the aging population. I pride myself in understanding people as a whole, along with the communities and cultures that they come from.
About I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with five years of experience focusing on wellness and mental health as a whole body practice. My experience also includes working with many demographics, including ages five through the end of life. In my sessions, I focus on using evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and a few others in order to help clients improve. I often work with clients to address trauma as well as understand behaviors caused by trauma. My counseling style is eclectic and I also work closely with my patients to view them as a whole, not just mental health issues. Many of my clients have said ” I love that you consider my culture and societal issues.” I take the time to understand that there are also environmental factors that affect our mental health. For me, it’s an honor to work with individuals as they embark on their wellness journey! In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family and create content that inspires people. My favorite quote is ” Take your time, But don’t waste time” by Chadwick Boseman because time in life is truly precious and why not use it as best as we can?
