Our team of LCSWs and psychologists are dedicated to helping seniors overcome their alcohol cravings and regain control of their lives. The key component of our treatment plan is individual therapy. In a safe and confidential setting, you can work with a therapist to explore the underlying causes of your addiction, develop coping strategies to manage cravings or triggers, and learn new skills to support your recovery. While we don’t currently offer group therapy for alcoholics, it is something we are actively working on and hope to offer in the future.   1. Motivational Interviewing (MI): helps individuals explore and resolve their ambivalence about changing their drinking behavior. Contingency Management: uses rewards or incentives to encourage individuals to abstain from drinking or to drink less.
  2. Mindfulness-Based Therapy: helps individuals develop skills to pay attention to their thoughts and feelings in the present moment, which can be helpful in managing cravings and reducing the risk of relapse.
  3. Group Therapy: involves meeting with a group of people who are also struggling with addiction, and provides a supportive and non-judgmental environment.
  4. Family Therapy: involves working with family members to address any conflicts or challenges that may be contributing to the individual’s addiction and to develop strategies to support their recovery.
  5. Medication: Some medications, such as naltrexone, acamprosate, and disulfiram, can help individuals with alcohol dependence reduce their cravings and prevent relapse.

It is important to note that the most effective treatment for alcohol dependence will depend on the individual’s needs and goals, and may involve a combination of these therapies.
