Cope with Alcohol Addiction Through Online Therapy

Teletherapy eliminates many of the barriers that can make in-person therapy difficult, such as transportation and mobility issues. Online therapy also allows for more flexibility in scheduling, making it easier to fit therapy into busy lives. With Total Life, seniors can find hope and improved mental well-being through the convenience and flexibility of online therapy.

With Total Life’s teletherapy services, clients can access care from the comfort of their own homes, eliminating the need to travel to a physical location.

Teletherapy allows clients to schedule sessions at times that are convenient for them, making it easier to fit therapy into their busy schedules.

Some clients may feel more comfortable seeking therapy from the privacy of their own home, rather than in a physical therapy office.

  1. Private therapy practices: Many licensed therapists offer individual and group counseling for alcohol addiction. You can search for local therapists online or through the phonebook
  2. Rehabilitation centers: Many rehabilitation centers offer therapy for alcoholism as part of their treatment programs. You can search for rehab centers in your area on websites such as the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) or the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA)
  3. Community mental health centers: Many community mental health centers offer group therapy for alcohol addiction. You can search for mental health centers in your area on websites such as Mental Health America or the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI)
  4. Online therapy: You’re in the right place! We offer therapy that can be accessed from the comfort of your own home. You can get started by checking your coverage online or calling our care team at 1-800-567-5433.
  1. Motivational Interviewing (MI): helps individuals explore and resolve their ambivalence about changing their drinking behavior. Contingency Management: uses rewards or incentives to encourage individuals to abstain from drinking or to drink less.
  2. Mindfulness-Based Therapy: helps individuals develop skills to pay attention to their thoughts and feelings in the present moment, which can be helpful in managing cravings and reducing the risk of relapse.
  3. Group Therapy: involves meeting with a group of people who are also struggling with addiction, and provides a supportive and non-judgmental environment.
  4. Family Therapy: involves working with family members to address any conflicts or challenges that may be contributing to the individual’s addiction and to develop strategies to support their recovery.
  5. Medication: Some medications, such as naltrexone, acamprosate, and disulfiram, can help individuals with alcohol dependence reduce their cravings and prevent relapse.

It is important to note that the most effective treatment for alcohol dependence will depend on the individual’s needs and goals, and may involve a combination of these therapies.
